The MSc in Applied Bioinformatics – Biological Data Analysis is aimed at graduates of schools and departments of biological direction (e.g. Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences) as well as graduates of schools and departments of the broader field of Informatics, Mathematics, Polytechnic Schools and others. Graduates of the Master of Science in Applied Bioinformatics – Biological Data Analysis will be able to pursue a career in the emerging professional field of biological data analysis where there is an increased need for interdisciplinarity as well as to be employed in academic and research institutions, in biomedical and diagnostic centers, in environmental laboratories and organizations as well as in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Furthermore, this program will be particularly useful to those who wish to follow an academic path through the preparation of a doctoral dissertation, as it will help develop their critical, analytical and synthetic skills, as well as the ability to write scientific texts.
